Survey Boat 1700 Series is configured as conventional twin-screw Survey Boat. The vessel is designed by Camarc for multipurpose operations including hydro-graphic survey, crew transport, etc. With a significantly low air draft and a shallow navigational draft, there are few places inaccessible for these Survey Boats. 1700 Series can be configured for the minimum speed of 1,5 knots which is a really slow speed for a steel hull survey vessel, that can also achieve more than 20 knots.
1700 Series outfitted to high standards in a compact space for survey of up to 6 people. The lower accommodation deck consists of a combined mess and One twin crew cabins with a shared en-suite. The wheelhouse is designed for maximum all-round visibility from the forward control station, with conventional helm controls.
Standart Main propulsion comprises a pair of Volvo Penta D16 Diesel engines each rated 2 x 750hp at 1900 rpm, and each driving fixed pitched 0.86 m diameter propellers on conventional shaft lines.
